Ukoni is Igbo for kitchen

The name is literal. Ukoni means kitchen, and that is what this place is. A working kitchen that happens to have tables, run by a family from Asaba.

Fish comes in whole. Pepper is measured by hand. The menu reads like a Delta family feast, because that is what we are serving.

No fusion and no deconstruction. Just the food people in Asaba want to eat.
